Executive summary
Denison Mines required a more dependable global technology foundation to support offices across multiple regions. The program combined network modernization, vendor management, business-continuity planning, and discovery for a future SharePoint implementation.
My role
I gathered requirements with employees and leaders across the organization, documented traceable business needs, designed key infrastructure elements, and supported change and training activities.
Approach
- Designed a centralized network topology spanning WAN, LAN, MPLS, and secure VPN connectivity.
- Negotiated service-level agreements across data-centre, MPLS, and internet-service providers.
- Defined Active Directory site and organizational-unit structures.
- Developed disaster-recovery, backup, maintenance, and business-continuity plans.
- Conducted global SharePoint discovery focused on taxonomy, governance, and workflow opportunities.
Outcome
The work strengthened the organization’s global technology foundation while establishing clear requirements and governance considerations for future collaboration capabilities.
