I always get weary with #SharePoint and #InfoPath form publishing. Publishing a new form loses all the column data that was extrated into a list. Luckily, there’s a simple solution! (the one draw back is all the modified dates will be today’s date, but if that doesn’t matter, happy column updating!)
1. Create a new column in the form library (it can be any column, I used a text field)
2. View the list in ‘data sheet view’
3. Fill cell in the new column with a value and fill it all the way down the list
4. Change the view to standard view and you should see all your column values back in tact!
Note: if you have workflows kicking off you should disable them, unless of course you want to spam your users =) happy spamming!
PS: I’m trying the hash tags to see if they trend in twitter, hopefully it does!
